Raaz Dwivedi is as an Assistant Professor at Cornell Tech and in the Department of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University. His research interests include causal inference, reinforcement learning, and statistical machine learning. He particularly focuses on constructing efficient methods for addressing personalized sequential decision-making challenges in the field of healthcare. He earned his Ph.D. in EECS from UC Berkeley and holds a bachelor’s degree in EE from IIT Bombay. Before joining Cornell, he also worked as a postdoctoral fellow jointly between Harvard University and MIT, and spent time at Microsoft Research. He won the President of India Gold Medal at IIT Bombay, the Berkeley Fellowship, teaching awards at UC Berkeley and Harvard, and a best student paper award for his work on optimal compression.
