What women in engineering such as Deborah Estrin teach us about creativity

We can only live our lives forward, and we can only understand them in hindsight. We make choices from the very depths of our being and sometimes it’s hard to rationalize why we make those choices. We see the path only when we reflect on years past. “A” lead to “B” lead to “C”, but when we were at “A” we didn’t even know “C” was out there. Here’s an example: I was one of those female engineering college students who left the field before I even gave it a fair shot.
