Science: IBM, Cornell Tech Unveil Brain-Like Chip

The August 2014 cover of Science magazine featured a major advance in emulating the brain in silicon led by International Business Machines Corp. and a team of researchers including Cornell Tech Associate Dean and Professor Rajit Manohar. The team has developed a microchip that simulates functions of neurons, synapses and other features of the brain to perform calculations.
