The steel structure of The Bridge at Cornell Tech was topped out on Tuesday, March 1, Curbed reports.
The building is billed as a “first-of-its-kind building that will house an ecosystem of companies, researchers and entrepreneurs who are focused on catalyzing innovation and the commercialization of new products and technologies, driving economic growth for New York.”
Designed by Weiss Manfredi and developed by Forest City Ratner Companies, it covers 230,000 square feet. 89,000 square feet of that is leased to Cornell and there will be 6,500 square feet of retail. The plan is for a minimum of LEED silver certification by the U.S. Green Building Coincil. It will open in summer of 2017.
