Speaker Bio
Professor Tania Babina joined the Columbia Business School in 2016 after she received a Ph.D. from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina. He is originally from Donbas, Ukraine, and she completed her undergraduate studies in economics at the Kharkiv Polytechnic University. Her research is at the juncture of corporate finance, innovation, and labor economics. Specifically, she studies the drivers of innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological change and their economic impact on firms and workers. Relatedly, she has examined labor and finance-related topics studying the impact of firms’ actions on workers (e.g., income, employment, and labor mobility). Professor Babina teaches the Entrepreneurial Finance course.
